Khairatabad Ganesh 2021
Before reading about Khairatabad Ganesh 2021 let us know about its history of festival celebrations. Ganesh chaturthi celebrations were done privately at there houses by people until 1893. Then from 1893 Bal Gangadhar Tilak also known as Lokmanya Tilak encouraged people to celebrate Ganesh chaturthi in public by uniting together at a place. From then people started building pandals in their street or colonies and started celebrating Ganesh chathurti every year in public. After starting public celebrations, for the first time in Khairatabad, Hyderabad the Ganesh pandal was established, by the freedom fighter named Shankaraiah on 8th September 1954. The first idol was one foot tall then later the idol was increased by one foot every year.
The Ganesh idol was 61 feet tall in 2019. In the year 2020 due to covid-19 the committee decided to decrease the height and only 9 feet tall Ganesh idol was installed. Then in the year 2021 the Ganesh idol was of height 40 feet. Famous Ganesh idol in India.
2021 Ganesh pandal
In the year 2021 nearly 100 artists from different states- Telangana, AP, Maharashtra and Tamilnadu worked for the idol from four months prior the festival. Pancha Mukha Rudra Maha Ganapati Avatar of 40 feet height as been installed in the year 2021. Along with the Ganesh idol, the installation of 15 feet idols of Goddess Kalanaga on the left and Krishna Kali on the right are installed.
A huge number of people are visiting the Khairatabad for id dharshan. The committee made strict arrangements as a precaution to covid-19 third wave. Strict police security is arranged near the pandal. Nearly eight lakh people visit the pandal for dharshan.
The Ganesh laddu weighted 1100 kg in the year 2021.
